O.P.I nail lacquer - Meet me on the starferry

So as you probably have guessed this post is about a nail polish that I bought recently, mostly I was intrigued by the cute little name and I think that it definately suits the colour. so I have already told you what I think about these polishes they do range in finishes like there are matte ones, satin ones and lustre ones etc.

so this colour is a very pretty dark taupe/ plum colour and when it hits the right light you can see hundreds of little gold sparkly bits in it. this is by the way out of the Hong Kong collection. the first coat that you put on does look very sheer but two coats just about do it. all in all a very pretty colour I think.

O.P.I nail lacquer - Lucky Lucky Lavender

Sorry I havn't posted for agessss but I've been on holiday and now have a few things to post for you guys.

so I have been searching forever to find O.P.I nail laquer since I first read about them on someones blog and wanted to try some out to see what it was like.

In the area where I live it's really hard to find any in shops but when I went on holiday I found they were for sale in the hotels spa shop so I went and bought two shades from the collection 'Hong Kong'.

This is 'Lucky Lucky Lavender'

its a very pretty pink/purple.
now I have found that these nail polishes are very I.Guess you would call it pigmented in colour and two coats is the maximum any nail would need. I decided I would put this colour on so I did my base coat, applied two coats of the colour.... but after the second coat of colour had dried I stared at my nails in wonder.... I didn't need to put on a top coat because the colour was soooo glossy and polished there really was no need.

so my top five bonuses about this product are:

- the range of colours available - if you go onto the O.P.I website you'll find out just how many there are.
- also the glossyness of the finish
- I am definately going to have to include the fact that the brush bristles are thick and smooth making the product super easy to apply
- the amount of product you get (15ml in one bottle)
- and last but not least how it takes so little time to dry.

yes I realise these polishes are expensive at £9.50 for one bottle but it's very good quality and well worth the money if you are a nail varnish junkie.

Will be starting my O.P.I collection very soon

Have a great week xxxx

Revlon Photoready foundation review

heyyyy guys so I went shopping to buy some foundation for my holiday and I wanted to get some Revlon Photoready foundation as I had heard some really good reviews about it because its a good price and works well for a drug store foundation. so i picked my shade (which is 003 shell) and got inticed to buy a few bargains then went to pay.
so now onto the reveiw ....

first of all Im going to start with the packaging its quite a stumpy type bottle and at the top has a cap covering the pump which keeps the product clean and the pump is also very controllable so you can have as much or as little as you want. this product is also very buildable.
now onto the formulea. it's not as thick as their Colourstay foundation and doesn't dry as fast either. it gives I would say about medium to heavy coverage but doesnt really look streaky. I would say put on a lot of moisturizer on your skin a few minutes before you put ont he foundation if you have dry skin as it can look cakey on dry skin (which is what I have). Like everyone says it does have sparkly bits in it but you can't really see them unless you look really closely, the one thing I do like about the sparkle is that it gives highlights to your face and airbrushes out most imperfections. I like the fact it includes SPF 20 in it so you don't need to add some sunscreen in with it in the summer months, it is also a lot more than in their Colourstay foundation which only has SPF 6. yesterday it lasted me around about 12 hours before it started to come off of my skin. so far touch wood I have had no break outs from it. I use a brush to apply it. I did notice yesterday though you could see some of my pores around my nose not good.

the price by the way is £12.99 for a 30ml bottle.

all in all I would rate this foundation 4.5 out of 5 stars.

heres a photo to show you what the bottle looks like:

Yankee candles

heyyyy guys so I know I havn't posted in what seems like forever, but I've been really busy.

I'm just going to do a product review on my new candles.

they are the yankee candles and I bought mine from house of fraiser I'm not really sure where else you can buy them from apart from their website. Basically to me they give off a strong smell which lingers around for ages- I found out as I burnt one before I went to bed the other night and I woke up in the morning still being able to smell the scent.

so here are the candles I bought:

Ocean blossom

this is a very light scent it reminds me a bit of the ocean with hints of water Lily and something like lotus.

garden sweet pea

this is the second one I picked up and my first thought was that it smelt of a really nice smelling lip gloss or lipstick, it sounds really wierd but is really pleasant. it has a bit more scent than ocean blossom but is still quite light. once I took off the packaging I could definately define the smell of flowers as it reminded me of a garden on a summers day.

tropical fruits

This is a candle that my friend pointed out to me I automatically saw that there was a lot of bright colours going on. To me it is the strongest smelling out of all three and reminds me of a mix of cinnamon, apples, pineapple and lots of other fruits like avocado.

all the scents and prices are on there website so if your interested go check them out.

off to get ready for going out to see Eclipse later hope it's as good as the book!

May Favourites

Heyyyy guys, so today I woke up and I decided I would try and sort out some of the junk in my bedroom.... my god there was soooo much stuff it took me forever but while I was sorting it out I decided I would put up a 'may favourites' post so here it is....

the first product on my list is a perfume from Yves Saint Laurent and is a summery limited edition of their perfume Elle. I was looking around for a new summer perfume for 2010 and thier bottle caught my eye on debenhams website so I clicked on it to read the description it said: ' A fresh solar interpretation of elle eau de toilette. an artistic explosion of colours and light, in the mood of a modern aquarelle.' which made me very interested and went into town a few days later to smell it and ended up coming out of debenhams the proud owner of this perfume. It's a nice sweet smell but not too over powering, It's a mix of summer fruits and a flower which I can't quite put my finger on. This scent reminds me of summer especailly the bottle too as it screams summer and heres a picture to show you just how fabulous it looks---->

The second product on my list is you rebel lite tinted moisturizer by benefit I've already wrote a review on it so if you want to read it find the post. :)

the third product I've had for longer than a month but this last week has been soooo busy I've had to use it multiple times and it is the dry hair shampoo by a brand called batiste and I have it in the smell/flavour tropical (it's the best I think) there is also original, boho, diva and blush to choose from too. This product I have found vey handy because this week I've been so busy that I havn't been washing my hair as often as I normally do because I honestly havn't had time so I just spray it on in the morning into my roots and comb it through my hair. It basically acts like a talcom powder and covers up the horrible greasy type feeling in your hair and makes it look more healthy. This is perfect for holidays and on the go.

The last product on my list is dove summer glow beauty body lotion. This is the perfect product for a build up tan and it won't streak. I use this on my legs as its the only part of my body that won't tan but this product is perfect for all over really. I use the fair to medium one as I have fair skin there is also a medium to dark one available.

Shopping!!!!

Heyyyy guys it's been boiling here again today have had the after-sun constantly sat on my table.

I went shopping today....

and bought a new maxi dress, I didn't know how this would look on me as I'm really short but it actually looks good and makes me look wayyyy taller.

this caught my eye it was really bright compared to all the other dresses in the shop and decided to try it on it did fit I think it needs to be turned up at the bottom though as it's too long with flat shoes. I am wondering when I'm going to actually wear this and what with at the moment I'm thinkin my wedges and a simple light coloured bag which I am yet to buy. tell me your veiws on what you think of maxi dresses and where you think is appropriate to where them. this dress is available in Republic for £26.99.

anyway onto my little stash of mac I bought today....

I went in not really knowing what colours
I wanted and came out with amber lights - a very shimmery gold, all that glitters - a pale pink, sketch - a very dark purpley brownish colour and tempting a natural brown with hints of gold.
I bought these eyeshadows in refill pans as I have palette already for me to just put them into and add to my collection, they are basically the same as the potted eyeshadows except without the black casing and has a magnet underneath to stick it to the palette the only big difference really is that the depotted refils are £9 two pounds cheaper than the potted eye shadows.

thanks for reading have a great weekend everyone!

You Rebel Lite

Heyyyy guys, so today it was really hot and sunny in Britain so I went to the beach and had a really good time, I mainly sunbathed and other times I was in the sea trying to dodge the huge waves. BUT .... when I got home unpacked then jumped in the shower I discovered some majorly bad tan lines and bright burnt, red shoulders soooo gonna have to get something done about that.

but getting to talk about my main object of the post today I present to you....

YOU REBEL (lite)

You Rebel lite the tinted moisturizer from Benefit

Now benefit usually has completely fun and eyecatching packaging which is part of the reason why I like them so much but this product has quite dull packaging for benefit even though I do have to say I love this product. Having dry skin with this added moisturizer in foundation it keeps my skin looking healthy, dewy and awake rather than completely dry and tired out. I also like the fact that it is a constant colour but changes and adapts to the colour of your skin so if your skin gets more tanned throughout the summer the tinted moisturizer will still look excellent and colour matched. I was thinking before I bought this product about the type of coverage it would give me but I was pleasantly surprised as it evens out the skin tone etc but does not cover over spots so you will when using this product need to cover over spots with a seperate concealer. I find its really easy to run into the skin as it doesnt dry quickly so you can take as long as you want. the tube is very easy to use it has a screw on lid and then you just squeeze the tube and the stuff starts coming out. I use my hands to rub this in as its too oily to use with a foundation brush. This I find stays on for around about 8 hours and you only need about half a pea sized amount. I use this everyday of the week incase you were wondering. For a tinted moisturizer I guess its not to bad a price as it is £21.50 but comes in a 50ml tube. There is also another you rebel which is the original and in a red tube although it comes out way too orange to be normal. Would defiantely repurchase this as its perfect for summer months when heavy foundation sweats off.

WARNING - this product does contain Oxybenzone which is a chemical that causes problems with skin and is found in some sunscreens, Its found in this product as its contains spf 15. If you are wondering what problems it causes I would recommend you google it although I have to say I have had no problems and have been using this for 2 weeks.

hope you've all been having a good week, off to paint my nails
byeeee guys xxxx <3
